On a trip years ago, some mates and I visited a property of 80,000 hectares where the owners had a wild pig problem. The country was blue bush and salt bush on the plains and sand dunes on the rest of the property. There was good rain every three years and sheep and cattle lived off these bushes. Trees grow on the sand dunes and this painting is a representation of those trees. The mood is enhanced by the use of blues and purples.
