Blady grass is a native of Australia that can become endemic after forests are cleared for pasture. The grass tufts have sharp edges, which can leave nasty cuts if you grab hold of it. It can grow up to 80 cm to 90 cm high, and flowers ephemerally only once a year, and all at one time. The flowers last for about two weeks and then they are gone. This is a semi-abstract depiction of a patch on a hillside as we were travelling to town one day.
