We were on the way to our son’s property to celebrate our fifty-fifth wedding anniversary, and the sky was a rosy glow as we left home. After cresting a hill, this scene unfolded before us; the sun was just peeping through a saddle between two hills, and the last rays were catching the trees. The tree looked like they were on fire! What a scene! I immediately told my wife that I would paint that in the morning. This is the result!
