Simpson Desert Triptych - three of three

This was a concept I had thought about quite a few times, that is, a painting spread over a year in time. However, the realisation of this concept eluded me until I thought of putting three paintings at different times of the year, one atop the other. These paintings are all of the Simpson Desert.

This third painting is the result of that rain. The desert blooms with ephemeral plants for a couple of weeks in a glorious display of colour.
