This painting is of a clear, brilliant mountain stream that ran out of a high-country swamp. I went on a trip with my wife and other Rotarians to Callahan’s Swamp, which was supposed to have lots of tiger snakes in it. We didn’t see one! Below the swamp a pure, crystal-clear stream ran off to the coast, and the trees along the banks were beautifully reflected in its waters. The area is off the Oxley Highway on the way to the coast and in the top of falls country.
