Simpson Desert Triptych - two of three

This was a concept I had thought about quite a few times, that is, a painting spread over a year in time. However, the realisation of this concept eluded me until I thought of putting three paintings at different times of the year, one atop the other. These paintings are all of the Simpson Desert.

This second painting is of that rare event of good rain in the desert.
